How to Set up Voicemail on iPhone

The process to set up Voicemail on iPhone or another phone is similar. Instructions is as follows –

  1. From the Home screen, navigate Phone icon Phone icon > Voicemail Voicemail icon (lower-right).
    Note You could be directed to the automated Voicemail system at this time. If so, follow the voice prompts to set up your Voicemail and greeting instead of completing the steps below.
  2. Tap Set Up Now.
    Note If the ‘Set Up Now’ pop-up does not appear, your Voicemail has already been set up. Simply tap Greeting in the upper-left of the Voicemail screen and begin at step 6.
  3. Enter a password then tap Done.
    Note The password must be between 4-6 digits in length.
  4. Re-enter the password then tap Done.
  5. Tap Custom to record a greeting.
    Note To use a Verizon default greeting, tap (check) Default.
  6. Tap Record to begin.
  7. When finished, tap Stop.
  8. To complete, tap ‘Done’ or ‘Save’.
